Blog Posts of the Week

Last week I once again shared three new outfit posts with you guys. I spent almost every evening working on these posts as I wanted to publish them before our travel to New York. All three outfits were looks I was wearing in London, and I still have two more outfits left. Once these are published (hopefully next week), I can finally start sharing pictures from NY. But no worries, you’re going to see some NY content today. 🙂

So as I just said, the outfits I shared last week were all London outfits. The first one was a combination of my favourite leo print skirt and a band shirt. I first wanted to wear a different band shirt, but didn’t have one with me in London and also couldn’t find one, so I went for this more minimal band shirt instead. The second outfit I shared was an outfit I wanted to wear for a long time. I was wearing a plaid dress with a grey denim jacket and my Balenciaga Triple S sneakers. And last but not least I shared an outfit that turned out to be one of my favourites from London. I had a slightly different outfit in mind, but not the clothes I needed with me in London. So I tried to create a similar look, and even though I first wasn’t so happy with it, I know like it a lot: the combination of a white shirt and a chain belt. Have a look yourself and let me know how you like these outfits. Also, I would love to know which one is your favourite.

Looks of the Week

We didn’t take any outfit pictures in Berlin, but luckily we were more productive in New York. Nevertheless, I have only three outfits I can share with you today:

What happened the past week

Let’s begin with the past weekend as is was a very nice and relaxing one in Berlin. The weather in Berlin has been amazing lately, hot and sunny. My boyfriend and I got to borrow a boat and spent most time of our weekend on and in the water. It was the perfect relaxing weekend before a busy week. As we were flying to New York on Thursday, we had to spend a lot of time in the office. We had lots of work to get done and prepare a couple of things. Therefore my days from Monday to Wednesday were all super boring.
On Thursday we finally flew to New York. I was so looking forward to this trip because I love this city so much. We arrived around noon and walked through China Town, Soho and Noho the rest of the day trying to stay awake and fight jetlag. 🙂 It went quite well, but I fell asleep at 9.30 pm and woke up around 6 am the next day. Not too bad as this is the time I wake up every day when I am in Berlin. We started our Friday with breakfast at Pause Café. I will write a blog post with all my NYC recommendations including food spots, for those who might be interested 🙂

After breakfast, we headed back to the hotel, got some work done and in the afternoon we did the one thing I was most excited about: walking across Brooklyn Bridge. I did it the first time when I was in NY in February this year, and I was amazed by the view. And even this time I couldn’t stop taking pictures. I guess this view just never gets old. Also, the Brooklyn Bridge itself is amazingly beautiful. Once we arrived in Brooklyn, we headed straight to Shake Shak for budgers and spent the rest of the afternoon in Brooklyn Heights. Brooklyn definitely becomes one of my favourites parts of New York, and I wish I had more time to explore the area. In the evening we decided to take a different way back to Manhattan. We didn’t walk across Brooklyn Bridge, this time we did the Manhattan Bridge walk. The bridge isn’t as beautiful as Brooklyn Bridge, but the view is at least as beautiful as the one you get to enjoy from Brooklyn Bridge. Plus you see the Brooklyn Bridge in front of the skyline 😉

Food Recommendation

I am a food lover, so why not giving you guys a food recommendation for a change? One of the things I am currently obsessed with is Acai Bowls. I eat them at least once a week as they are very refreshing and delicious! I either go to a restaurant or make them myself. My favourite places for acai bowls in Berlin are Superfood & Organic Liquids and Attila Hildmann. When I do them myself at home, I always work with acai powder. It’s super simple, all you need is frozen bananas, frozen blueberries, some fresh blueberries and the powder. Sometimes I also add oats, almond or coconut milk and skyr. But it depends on how hungry I am. For the topping, you can use whatever you like. My favourites are granola, strawberries, banana, almonds and peanut butter.
