Whaelse.com is not just a fashion blog with daily new outfit ideas and fashion trends. Besides the fashion blog I, as a youtube fashion vlogger, have prepared some video blogs (vlogs) about topics like fashion, lifestyle and travel for you.

On my fashion vlog on youtube I am taking you with me into the world of traveling, fashion and lifestyle as well as future business topics around vlogging on youtube.

The meaning of a vlog

As you might have already guessed, the word vlog comes from the composition of the words video and blog = vlog. For me the vlog means that I am recording and uploading personal vlogs at brief intervals in relation to my fashion, lifestyle and travel blog. In my lifestyle vlog I try to present myself and by that take you with me on my travels and introduce you to my lifestyle.

Whats a vlog and whats the difference to a blog?

I thing that the word vlog mostly occurred because of the platform youtube. Of course there have been vlogs before, but this kind of personal lifestyle vlog where I make videos about topics like fashion, lifestyle and travel for you, just really came up in connection with youtube.

The biggest difference between blogging and vlogging is, that you have the chance to show more of yourself, its more personal. In a text I can't explain myself as good as in a video and for the viewer of the fashion and lifestyle vlog it's easier to get to know me a little better.

For me the vlog means a lot of work. Besides all the filming, which preferably should emerge spontaneously out of any kind of situation, there is a lot of material which must be reviewed. The biggest part , which sometimes can take days, is the cutting of the final youtube fashion vlog. I have already taken some courses to do this the right way, cause I have really high standards to myself. You really have to look on the details and try to get the best result possible out of color and sound.

Summarizing I think the vlog is a creative and visual transformation of a blog.

Which camera equipment are you using?

We tried a lot in the past but when we started filming the vlogs we used the following equipment:
Sony RX100 M3
GoPro Hero Black
Iphone 6/7

But as you should always try to improve, so at the moment we are using the following equipment:
Sony alpha 7r Mark 2
Panaosic Lumix G81
GoPro Hero Black
Iphone 10
Gimbal: Zhiyun Crane 2

How do you edit your videos?

I edit all my videos exclusively with Adobe Premiere Pro. I would recommend you to take a course so you can get the best out of the program and video editing.

Where do you find your music?

We have an subscription for epidemic sound.

Of course as a lifestyle vlogger I also cover the topic fashion in my videos. I make a point of trying to create high quality videos to be a good fashion vlogger for you ;-)

I have planned a lot in that direction and still have lots of unedited material on my hard drive. At the moment I just don't have the extra time to put these fashion vlogs on youtube.

There are a lot of awesome unboxings and lookbooks which I am going to present to you in the upcoming days, weeks and month.

Why I see my channel as a lifestyle channel

I think that prospective I am going to run this vlog under the headline lifestyle vlog. I am going to take you with me on my travels and capture these in travelvlogs. But surely the fashion topic is going to play a main role too, as I see myself as a fashion vlogger on youtube. I am certain that my love for fashion will be covered continuously with fashion vlogs on youtube.

If you already follow me on other channels, you have probably also recognized my passion for food. That's another reason why I see my vlog as a lifestyle vlog . I am continuously sharing my passion for the small and huge delicacies with you and will keep on doing so.
