Breakfast at Café Organic Bali

Breakfast at Café Organic Bali

Some of you might remember my restaurant guide I did for Bali last year. I shared my favourite places in Seminyak, Kuta as well as Canggu. We went to a lot of those places again this year, but we also tried new places, and that’s why I can share a Bali Restaurant Guide 2.0 today. Bali has a lot of very good restaurants, and the food is one of the things I like best about Bali. I was thinking about food all day, and as soon as we finished one meal, I was already thinking about the one I could eat next.

Where to eat in Bali

As we were staying in Canggu most of the time of our Bali trip this year, I will mostly share restaurants you can find there. But I will also share some restaurants you can find in Seminyak, and a couple of restaurants do not only have one location so that you might find them in Kuta or Seminyak as well as in Canggu. But before I will share all the new places we tried this year, let me mention the ones we went to again after being there the first time in 2017: Nalu Bowls (my all time favourite when it comes to smoothie bowls), MyWarung, Betlenut, Gypsie as well as Café Organic.

Rise & Shine
Last time we were in Bali, we passed this place a couple of time, and even though I wanted to check it out, we didn’t make it. That’s why Rise & Shine was on top of our list of places we want to check out next time we are in Bali. And since both of the villas we stayed at in Canggu were located close to this café, we went there three or four times. I think they have one of the best coffee’s in Bali and the food isn’t bad either. We went there for breakfast twice, and both times it was great.

Crate Café
Crate Café opened right after we left Bali last year. We saw them building that place, and I was so curious how it would end up. Of course, I had to go there as soon as we were back in Bali. And guys, I love this place. The location is amazing, it’s located next to some rice fields, and very close where we enjoy staying the most when in Bali 😉 Also the menu has a lot of amazing options, there is for sure something for everyone. I tried one of their bowls, and an acai bowl and both were sooo good. But my highlight was their iced coffee. Not because it was the most delicious one I had in Bali, but because of the way they served it. So original!

Give
Give belongs to Kynd Community, a café that is located in Seminyak and we went to last year. You might remember that I said, that it is quite overrated and that it wasn’t my favourite in Seminyak. Nevertheless, I wanted to give the Give café a chance. The menu is slightly different, and I love that they donate to an organisation their customers choose. When you order something at Give, you can pick a token and vote for one of three organisations. The one with the most votes will get the donation.
Apart from this, the food was quite good. They don’t have a large choice of different meals, but they have the “basics” such as avocado toast and smoothie bowls.

Strawberry Fields
Strawberry Fields is Located in Seminyak, and we tried it before we headed to Mrs Sippy. I really liked the place. The café itself looks so cool and is quite different to all those fancy, colourful cafés you usually find in Bali. Also, their menu has everything you could ask for. It actually was hard to make a decision, but I ended up trying their acai bowl as well as an avocado toast. The acai bowl wasn’t one of the best I’ve had, but it tastes quite good. I also like the fact that they bring it in a coconut 😉

Bali Bowls
It’s no secret that I LOVE smoothie bowls. Nalu Bowls is my all-time favourite, but this time we also tried Bali Bowls. What I really liked is the fact, that they have different bowls than Nalu Bowls, so you get to taste some more flavours. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the bowl I tried, but I really liked it. My boyfriend had a bowl with avocado, and this one was super tasty as well, but it’s definitely a “special” taste. Oh, and a big plus is, that their portions are quite big!

Copenhagen
I don’t know when the café Copenhagen opened, but I didn’t recognise it last year even though it is located next to Rise & Shine. Before we went there, I checked their Instagram and reviews, and it looked good. People said, that you have to try their cinnamon buns when you go there and we did so. I have to say, that the cinnamon buns at Zeit für Brot in Berlin are waaaay better and I didn’t really like the ones at Copenhagen. But this doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t recommend the place. The coffee was very good and, of course, they do not only have cinnamons on their menu 😉 Even if you will just drink a coffee, this café is worth a visit.

Sunday’s Beach Club
Well, Sunday’s Beach Club isn’t only a restaurant, as the name says it is a whole beach club. We spent there a whole day and ate and drank quite a lot. Everything we tried was so, so good. Only my matcha latte was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I know that most people only like it when it’s very sweet. The other things we tried were super tasty. I really liked the Salmon Bowl as well as the Salted Coconut Icecream. We also had to try the fries and guys; they were sooo good. Is there anything better than eating fries when lying on the beach?

Moana
Moana is located in Canggu, and we passed it a couple of time before we finally decided to give it a try. And I have to say, that it became one of my favourite restaurants for dinner in Bali. We went there twice, and both times I had to eat their tuna tacos. Gosh, those are the BEST tacos I’ve ever had. Another dish I can truly recommend is the tuna bowl; this one was so good as well! I wish I could eat both right now.

Savage Kitchen
Between Canggu and Seminyak you will find Savage Kitchen. We went there for dinner, and a couple of drinks and everything was really good. We both had wraps for dinner and ordered edamame as well as potato wedges. The portion was quite small but very tasty. I actually could have ordered another dish to be full. But if you go there for drinks and just want a small bite, Savage Kitchen is a great choice. They also have live music on some days, and that’s definitely another reason to stop by. Unfortunately, we missed it the day we went there, but when we are back in Bali, I would go there again and stay for the live music.
