When traveling to a city you’ve never been to before, the biggest challenge is always finding the right hotel. Which location is best? Should you book a large chain or a small independent hotel? What suits us best? To help you a bit here, today we want to introduce you to the Finders Hotel—located in Taipei’s lively hustle and bustle. We spent two nights in this sweet hotel and were able to test everything it has to offer for you and whether it is suitable as a starting point for a city trip to Taipei. We will tell you more about this below.

The concept of Finders Hotel

When you enter the hotel lobby, you feel like you’re in a wonderland. The interior and decoration remind you of a forest; everything looks super warm and cozy. Here, you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city of Taipei and dream a little.

We particularly liked the 24/7 reception, as we were helped around the clock with everything, whether we needed a power adapter or just some information.

There is also a small snack bar there, which is also filled 24/7. You can always have a drink or a snack here and don’t have to go out of the hotel to the nearest supermarket.

The location and surroundings of Finders Hotel

The Finders Hotel is perfectly positioned in terms of location. It is located between the Taipei Main Station and Ximending metro stations, both of which are easily accessible on foot. Especially from the Main Station, you can quickly get anywhere.

Ximending is not only a metro station but also an area in Taipei that you should definitely visit. There is always a lot going on here, with many shops, restaurants, and cafes, and it is a popular meeting point for young people.

Also, it is not far to the 228 Peace Memorial Park, the Chengzhong Market and the Yuanling Shopping District from the Finders Hotel.

Rooms and amenities at Finders Hotel Fuqian

I have already described the hotel’s general facilities. In addition to the 24/7 reception and snack bar, Finders Hotel Fuqian has a 24/7 accessible laundromat and a children’s playroom.

The rooms are equipped with everything you need. We were in an Executive Double Room, which has a size of 22sqm. It is equipped with a queen-size bed, a small desk, and a private bathroom with a shower. The size was perfect for a city trip, and we felt very comfortable.

We also had breakfast included for our days, which was buffet-style. The selection was great; even as vegans, we could find a few options here and start each day strengthened.

Activities around the hotel

Due to the Finders Hotel’s central location, it is the perfect starting point for any activity in Taipei, whether you want to explore the city a bit or travel to sightseeing points.

You can explore Ximending perfectly on foot. The 228 Peace Memorial Park is also only a few minutes’ walk away.

By train, you can reach Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall or our favorite district, Da’an, in a few minutes.

Due to the proximity to Main Station Taipei and Beimen, Finders Hotel is also suitable for day trips to the surrounding area of Taipei. For example, from Beimen, you can take the bus to Jiufen, where you will arrive in about 1 hour.

If you are traveling to Taipei for the first time, we can definitely recommend the Finders Hotel. The location is perfect, and the room offers everything you need for a city trip.
