Since I was short of sleep, last week I had a lot of problems to get out of bed in the morning. It was damn hard to motivate myself to get up, to prepare breakfast and to get ready to go to work. I’m sure I’m not the only one with this kind of problem, am I? 😉 Especially winter season makes it almost impossible to get up early or even to get out of bed in general. It’s dark outside – no matter what time -, and it’s so damn cold. All we want to do is staying in bed, in our warm bed! So here is how to make getting out of bed easier:

How to get out of bed easier

Getting out of bed can be tough, especially in winter! Of course, we get up anyway, because we have to, but it really sucks. We all know the moment when we’re laying in bed covered in our warm and cosy sheets wishing we could just roll back over and stay in bed the whole day. Be honest, you wouldn’t enjoy laying in bed the whole day, would you? No worries, the following tips will make getting out of bed easier!

Go to bed early

I’m sure you’ve heard this tip before but it is so true! It’s important to get enough sleep, not only because it’s healthy but also because it makes getting up so much easier. On top, you’ll feel much better when you get enough sleep, and this causes that you’ll be more productive. 🙂

Sleep without your phone near you

Well, there are several reasons to sleep without your phone near you. One of them is, of course, that you are more likely to get out of bed faster when your phone is not near you. I usually lay in bed and check my Instagram, emails and much more before I fall asleep, and I do the same when I wake up in the morning. I found a routine, so I spend only 30 minutes on my phone every evening and morning and get up right afterwards. This works for me; you could give it a try as well or simply put it in another room. 😉

Place your alarm clock away from your bed

When your alarm clock is right next to you, you can easily turn it off without getting out of bed. And you could easily fall asleep again. By placing your alarm clock away from your bed, you’ll have to get out of bed to turn it off. Once you are out of bed, it’s usually easier to stay up and get your day going.

Keep a morning routine

Try to find the best sleeping time for yourself and to go to sleep and wake up at the same time each day. This will make getting up much easier. But it’s not only good to have a consistent sleep schedule, but it’s also good to have a morning routine as well. Take your time for the things you want and have to do every morning such as checking your phone, having breakfast, getting ready. Schedule all these things and try to do them the same way every morning.

These are only a few tips that will make getting out of bed so much easier. What do you usually do to get out of bed faster? Please share your tips and let me know what you think about the four tips I shared with you. xx
